If infection is detected

If infection is detected

Even with all the measures that are implemented, there is still a possibility that infection can take place. What do we do then?

An employee has symptoms

Employees who show symptoms should be taken off work immediately and notify their immediate supervisor. The person stays at home and is asked to take the Corona test as soon as possible.

With a negative test, you can return to work when you are in good general condition (ie you feel healthy and are fever-free), even if you still have some symptoms after a respiratory infection.

An employee / volunteer is diagnosed with the coronavirus

If an employee has been diagnosed with an infection, it is mapped which days the person was at work 48 hours before the person developed symptoms. Other employees who have had close contact with the person in question are quarantined.

A close contact cannot be tested out of quarantine. In the event of a negative test, you must still be in quarantine for the entire period of 10 days.

The infection control office is informed and given access to visitor lists.

The Christmas market informs via website and facebook about the time period in which the infection has taken place, and informs the infection control office. Contact with the media and press release must be considered.

A guest with a proven infection

We receive notification from the infection control office if a guest has been diagnosed with infection. We provide access to visitor lists and can here map the time period and at which table the person sat.

We map out which employees have had contact with the table during the time they have been guests in the coffee lavvo. We assume that close contact between the employee and the infected has not taken place based on infection control instructions, good hand hygiene and distance / time period. We follow the infection control office’s recommendations in such a case.

The Christmas market informs via website and facebook about the time period in which the infection has taken place, and informs the infection control office. Contact with the media and press release must be considered.

An exhibitor or volunteer has symptoms

Exhibitors who show symptoms must immediately close the booth, and notify their exhibitor manager. The shed must thus be washed down, and a possible deputy installed if the shed can be kept open. The person with symptoms stays at home and is asked to take the Corona test as soon as possible.

With a negative test, you can return to work when you are in good general condition (ie you feel healthy and are fever-free), even if you still have some symptoms after a respiratory infection.

A volunteer is diagnosed with an infection

Here, the area in which the volunteer has been in the last 48 hours is mapped, and other people who have been in close contact with the person in question are quarantined.

The Christmas market informs via website and facebook about the time period in which the infection has taken place, and informs the infection control office. Contact with the media and press release must be considered.

An exhibitor is diagnosed with an infection

Exhibitors who are diagnosed with infection immediately notify the exhibitor responsible, and are quarantined. If the exhibitor has been present on the market for the last 48 hours, everyone who has been in close contact with this person must be quarantined.

The Christmas market informs via website and facebook about the time period in which the infection has taken place, and informs the infection control office. Contact with the media and press release must be considered.

Communication lines

The safety manager and Christmas market manager must always be informed about things that concern either volunteers, exhibitors, employees or other things that concern the arena. Thereafter, the following is responsible for communication with:

Café manager – is responsible for notifying his employees when needed

Exhibitor responsible – is responsible for notifying exhibitors when needed

Volunteer manager – is responsible for notifying the volunteers when needed

An SMS system has been set up to be able to give quick messages to both volunteers and exhibitors, and everyone is informed about this.
